BEST OF: LONDON FASHION WEEK FALL 2018/2019

The London Fashion Week was held from February 16 to 20, 2018, and we again had the opportunity to see wonderful new collections from highly talented designers such as Edeline Lee, Cassey Gan or Alexander White. I chose a few, in my opinion, the best collections of the LWF, which I will introduce you here.

Londýnský Fashion Week proběhl od 16. - 20.

BURBERRY (READY-TO-WEAR 2018/2019)

One of the most debated shows at London Fashion Week was definitely the fashion show of Burberry. "This was really me at the age of fifteen," said creative director Christopher Bailey after the show, which was the grand finale of his 17-year-old presence at Burberry. "I named the collection 'Time'. It was past, present, and future of Burberry. "In creating the collection he was inspired by everything that was around him, but he also looked back in time; especially to the 80s and 90s to British street culture. The show was closed by Cara Delevingne with her short brown splatter and coat in the LGBT community's colors - of which she is a member. In addition to clothing in the colors of the LGTB community, we were again able to see, for Burberry, typical tartan fabrics and chiffon.

ERDEM (READY-TO-WEAR 2018/2019)

The flower garden. Even so, we could describe the new Ready-to-Wear collection of the fashion house Erdem, created by the Creative Director and the founder Erdem Moralıoğlu. When creating a collection, Moralıoğlu has in her mind Adele Astaire. "She was Fred's elder sister and she was much more talented. She was completely independent and then married into this very formal aristocratic family,” he reminded. He created an imaginary wardrobe that was a reflection of her personality; joyful and full of energy - which i personally love. The whole collection is here.

TEMPERLEY LONDON (READY-TO-WEAR 2018/2019)

Olive military overalls, blouses, patches, delicate scarves and safety straps. Alice Temperley has been inspired by the British Army this time, creating a dominant outfit designed for day-to-day wear. Several very different pieces have confirmed that the Temperley London brand has something to offer and will certainly not leave you cold. The models were interesting, they had a charge, a power and they did not look doctored. The whole collection here

Olivové vojenské kombinézy, blůzy, nášivky, jemné šátky a bezpečnostní pásky. Alice Temperley se tentokráte nechala inspirovat Britskou armádou a vytvořila dominantní outfity uzpůsobené pro denní nošení. Několik zcela různorodých kousků mne utvrdilo v tom, že značka Temperley London má stále co nabídnout a rozhodně vás nenechá chladným. Modely byly zajímavé, měly náboj, sílu a nevypadaly tuctově.

DELPOZO (READY-TO-WEAR 2018/2019)

The creative director of the Spanish fashion house DELPOZO and the former architect Josep Font like to experiment with the shapes and lines of his designs. The leather straps firmly held the 3D models of lilies and lotus petals. The colors were romantic and optimistic, which always fits in the cold autumn and winter days (I was most attracted by lemon yellow, barbie pink and creamy white). Asymmetric cuts, choice of fabrics, quilted patterns, and breathtaking musical accompaniment were a great 'cherry on the cake' on the London Fashion Week. The whole collection is here.

Kreativní ředitel španělského módního domu DELPOZO a bývalý architekt Josep Font rád experimentuje s tvary a liniemi jeho návrhů. Kožené pásky pevně držely 3D modely lilií a lotosových lístků. Barvy působily romanticky a optimisticky, což se do chladných podzimních a zimních dnů vždy hodí (nejvíce mne zaujala citronově žlutá, barbie růžová a krémově bílá). Asymetrické střihy, volba látek, prošívané vzory a dechberoucí hudební doprovod byly jednou velkou třešničkou na dortu londýnského Fashion Weeku.

HOUSE OF HOLLAND (READY-TO-WEAR 2018/2019)

The House of Holland show was named Grown Up for this Ready-to-Wear season. "We're trying to be less, 'She’s a pirate, she’s a witch, she’s this or she’s that' and look at the wardrobe we are building for her..” said creative director Henry Holland. Behind the backstage, Henry was wearing a red sweatshirt and a scarf carpet on his chest, where was written in McFont 'I Love My Job'. "I do! Sometimes I question myself, but I love my job. And I am constantly telling everybody in the studio that they have the best job in the world—to think up ideas and turn them into reality.“ The show was carried in a very relaxed spirit; there were big hip-hop jackets from the 90's, symmetrical jacket, black denim or tourist mokasines. The whole collection is here

Přehlídka značky House of Holland nesla pro tuto Ready-to-Wear sezónu název Grown Up.
