BEST OF: MILAN FASHION WEEK FALL 2018/2019

I'm here again, but with another special moment: Milan Fashion Week which was held from 20th to 26th February 2018. It's no wonder that here - in the city of fashion, the most talented fashionable aces compete with each other and we have the opportunity to see a number of unique collections known but also the lesser known designers.

BLUMARINE
(READY-TO-WEAR 2018/2019)

Her fashion is a clear mirror of her personality: warm and romantic. Using these two qualities, Anna Molinari has created her own brand, that suits a woman that is feminine and full of life - like her,” wrote editor Erica di Santo. Anna simply knows how to attract women, so the show has not missed the roses that have dominated her shows for almost forty years. But backstage Anna revealed a much deeper sense of the collection: „Yes, the collection might appear to be ‘feminine’ and sweet, especially with all the roses. But look at this [she gestured at a very vaguely military blue shearling] and these [the scattering of trousers in the collection]. As women, we are oppressed by the world around us and we have to say enough with being victims. I wanted to show an image not just of beauty, but of strength. My message is a social and political one.”

The collection designed by Donatella Versace opened the model Natalia Vodianova with a vintage leather maxi coat and very extravagant boots in the same color. The whole atmosphere of the collection was breathtaking with the glamor atmosphere of the 80s. There was a classic in the form of smooth trenchkot, school shirts and punk tartan skirts. The corsets under which the signs of the 'Versace' even without them were again a pleasant revival that didn't disappoint. In addition, there were golden details on coats or accessories in the form of earrings or necklaces. Donatella again showed an unprecedented and very original show.

Kolekci navrženou Donatellou Versace, slavnou sestrou již zesnulého Gianni Versace, otevírala modelka Natalia Vodianova s vínově koženým maxi kabátem a velmi extravagantními botami taktéž ve vínové barvě. Z celé kolekce dýchala glamour atmosféra 80. let. Nechyběla klasika v podobě hladkého trenčkotu, školních košil a punkově tartanových sukní. Donatella opět předvedla nevídanou a velmi originální show a proto před ní smekám!

Model Gigi Hadid had the oppostunity to open Tod's Ready-to-Wear Show with carrying a small French bulldog in her arms. And she wasn't the only one who had a four-legged pet in her hands, and we could see some other models with puppies, each with a different race. This time, it was not a baby dragon or snake à la Gucci, but puppies that brought many smiles on the face of the viewer, emphasizing the precision of Tod's accessories. Almost every model had a bag, whether it was a small leather cross body or a large suede sports bag. The main colors of the show were brown in all shades, white, black and pistachio green. Tod's again showed a great collection, including classic parks, trenchbots, blouses, and puffer jackets in unique shades. The whole collection is here.

K ní přibyla bílá, černá a pistáciově zelená. Tod's opět předvedl skvělou kolekci, kde nechyběli ani klasické parky, trenčkoty, blůzy, a puffer bundy v jedinečných odstínech.

The creative director Jeremy Scott stunned the audience with his new collection. The starting point was the conspiracy theory surrounding the assassination of the then US President John F. Kennedy and the fact that Kennedy told Marilyn Monroe that aliens existed. These two stories inspired him to create his own pleasantly ridiculous conspiracy theory that Jackie Kennedy Onassis was an alien himself and killed both; Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe. This is why some models of colored bodies have extraterrestrial colors; yellow, blue, green and orange. Conservative and formal garments were strongly reminiscent of the 1960s, so they lacked monochrome costumes, graphic dresses and typical short hairstyles.

Právě proto měly některé modelky nabarvená těla mimozemskými barvami; žlutou, modrou, zelenou a oranžovou. Konzervativní a formální oděvy silně připomínaly 60. léta, proto nechyběly jednobarevné kostýmky, grafické šaty a typické krátké účesy.

The Italian fashion house Fendi, led by Karel Lagerfeld and Silvie Venturi Fendi, showed something new again. Initially, it was a smart quilted dress and coat that Silvie Venturi described as 'a romantic uniform for a strong and powerful woman of today'. Then came the sewn suit and cowboy boots that accompanied the show. The double F logo has been deployed almost everywhere - in stockings, fur coats, sweatshirts and scarves.

Italský módní dům Fendi pod vedením Karla Lagerfelda a Silvie Venturi Fendi předvedl opět něco nového.

Tommy Hilfiger's autumn and winter Ready-to-Wear show was the fourth and last successful collaboration between Hilfiiger and Gigi Hadid (TommyXGigi). The main inspiration for this collection was Formula 1 racing and what the Mercedes-AMG crew and technicians normally wear, it this was converted to white, red, black and blue colors. The show included piped leather trousers, American flag jackets, dresses, polo shirts, semi-bows and polotriques.

Podzimní a zimní Ready-to-Wear přehlídka Tommy Hilfigera byla čtvrtou a zároveň poslední úspěšnou kolaborací mezi Hilfigerem a modelkou Gigi Hadid (TommyXGigi). Hlavní inspirací pro vytvoření této kolekce byly závody Formule 1 a to, co běžně nosí posádka a technici Mercedes-AMG akorát to bylo převedeno do barev bílé, červené, černé a modré. Na přehlídce nechyběly lesklé kožené kalhoty, bundy s americkou vlajkou, šaty, polokošile, polobundy a polotrika.

The introduction of his new Ready-to-Wear collection in the autumn and winter was accompanied by astonishment, fear and admiration at the same time. The show was held in a room with a surgical lab, while the interior itself was horrifying for some people. We had the opportunity to see a truly unique and surrealistic show that did not lack Illuminated characters, knitted face-like facials, models which they held in their hands a dragon, snake and chameleon, and a couple of models that had their own replica of their heads dangling in their arms. Really slightly frightening.

Představení nové Ready-to-Wear kolekce na podzim a zimu doprovázel údiv, strach i obdiv najednou. Show se konala v místnosti zobrazující chirurgickou laboratoř, přičemž samotný interiér některým lidem naháněl hrůzu. Měli jsme možnost shlédnout opravdu unikátní a surrealistickou přehlídku, ve které nechyběli iluminátské znaky, pletené pokrývky obličeje připomínající pooperační stav, modelky a modely držící v rukou draka, hada a chameleona, a pár modelů, kterým dřímala v náručí vlastní replika hlav. Opravdu lehce děsivé.

The main renowned Ready-to-Wear collection of the Italian fashion house Marni was the sharp colors and the linking of human's love to innovation and technology. Technoprimitivism, in this way Francesco Risso called his collection, which at some moments was supposed to be express of human waste. The show featured shiny vintage coats, felted cloaks and trimmings of recycled textiles, insulating material, or underlying carpets. Risso is not afraid to risk and combine multiple materials, which is certainly important for high fashion.

Hlavním poznávacím znamením Ready-to-Wear kolekce italského módního domu Marni byly ostré barvy a propojení lásky člověka k inovacím a technologiím.
